With the holiday season upon us, a number of Spring-Ford Chamber of Commerce members are offering opportunities to reach out to those in need.
Several businesses are serving as drop-off points for food drives and for Toys for Tots.
Accepting canned foods and non-perishables are Connelly Chiropractic, 695 N. Lewis Road, Royersford; Tri-County Toyota, 15 D&L Drive, Limerick; XPO Business Equipment, 313 W. Ridge Pike, Limerick.
Toys for Tots locations include Lewis Environmental, 155 Railroad Plaza, Royersford; Zuber Realty, 830 Chestnut St., Royersford; Univest Corp of PA, 328 N. Lewis Road, Royersford.
Univest is also having a new or used coat drive, for all sizes. Feel free to drop off any unwanted or new coats at the Royersford location. The coat drive ends Dec. 9.
Two Phoenixville Federal Bank branches in the Spring-Ford area are supporting Project Outreach. The Royersford branch, 70 N. Lewis Road, has a giving tree of food items. The Limerick branch, 473 W. Ridge Pike, is collecting new unwrapped toys and clothing for children 0 to 12 years.
All Susquehanna Bank locations in this area are Toys for Tots drop-off locations. Also, the Limerick branch, 536 N. Lewis Road, is working with the local scouts as a drop-off point for food items.
Bruster's Real Ice Cream, 241 W. Ridge Pike, Limerick, is collecting Toys for Tots. Anyone who brings a toy for the collection will receive a second scoop free on any cone or dish and a $2 coupon for an ice cream cake. Bruster’s is working with the Perkiomen Valley Middle School West to help "Stuff-A-Bus" with toys to go to Toys for Tots.
Kelly Insurance Group, 212 W. Main St., Trappe, is a drop-off site for Toys for Tots until Dec. 16.
