The Limerick Township Historical Society will meet Monday, Feb. 8, 7:30 p.m., at the Limerick Township Building, 646 W. Ridge Pike. The public is invited to attend. There is plenty of parking and no stairs.
The program will be on Limerick Community Park – Hearts Working Together. Parks and Recreation director Karen Hegedus will tell the society about plans to improve and expand the township park. Many changes and updates are being made to the Manderach Memorial Playground portion of the park.
Hegedus also will discuss the history of the park and work being done this spring. She will talk about the trips and band concerts sponsored by Limerick Parks and Recreation and will distribute a 2010 schedule to the members.

The Hunsberger House, the society headquarters at 545 W. Ridge Pike, Limerick, includes a museum and library which are open every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is also open on Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. Volunteers are available to give tours of the building and help with family research.
