Eagles Fall Short To Saints 27 - 24

The Eagles got off to a slow start today falling behind 10 - 0 to the Saints.  Despite a valiant effort to come back, they fell short, losing 27 - 24 to the New Orlean Saints.  This was a tough loss for the Eagles while both the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys won today.  Both teams are now just a half game back from the Eagles.

A costly error at the end of the first half put the Eagles down 17 - 3 heading into the locker room.  This after the Eagles finally put points on the board and then after a strong defensive stand got the ball back with plenty of time on the clock.  But when New Orleans punted the football, Moats not aware of where he was on the field bumped into Wynn who was trying to catch the ball.  Thanks to Moats Wynn missed the ball and New Orleans recovered.  This lead to another touchdown for the Saints.

Depsite the poor performance in the first half, the Eagles came out strong in the second half with two touchdowns to tie the game.  They then took the lead but only for a moment as the Saints came back and put 7 more points on the board.  Then late in the fourth quarter with 3 seconds left on the clock,  a field goal sealed the deal for the Saints.

The Eagles now 4 - 2, find themselves in a tough race for their division with the Giants and Cowboys.  The Eagles still look very strong and all things are possible this season, but they need to stop losing games they should win.

For all my fellow Eagles fans, here is a video from You Tube to lift your spirits:
