    I am not one of those who believes that just because you live in a certain area that you have to be a fan of that local team. I predominantly follow just football and so I'm talking about the Eagles. It used to be that I would root for the birds when they weren't playing the Cowboys, but that all went out the window with Buddy Ryan's caveman mentality. I know this post will make people avoid me, but the Eagles aren't the team that I want to root for.
    I think they have a good owner (Lurie) who wants to win, they have a nice stadium again, I like the color green, I think Andy Reid is possibly the best coach in the NFL, and I think they got the best QB in this year's draft.
    When I was a kid, I chose Dallas, they won a Super Bowl 3 years later and I was hooked. I liked the mystique of Texas, I've been there several times and I like Texas. Tom Landry used to make me mad with some of his too conservative ways of coaching, but they always had some great players, until his last season as hc. Then Jimmy Johnson came in and I really loved the way the guy was so intense and fired up and the way he changed the atmosphere.
    I thought Switzer was a nice guy, but that he wasn't nearly as good a coach as Jimmy.
    Hated Parcells. Glad that's over.
    I think Wade Phillips will be alright, but really anxious for Garrett to take over.

    As for the Eagles this season, I think McNabb will probably play most of the year, they'll go 10-6 and finish tie for second with the Giants, (my brother's favorite team.) It'll be Dallas ruling the NFC EAST.

    I apologize to the Eagles fans...while not my favorite team, I do watch and root for them occassionally. Reid is probably one of the best coaches in the NFL. It's hard to say what kind of year the team will have. May the best team win.....without cheating like the Patriots coach did.
