Eagles fans are waiting for the birds to play and win.
Brian Westbrook is injured with an abdominal strain.
Tackle William Thomas and Brian Dawkins are also injured as is Lito Shepherd cb and lb Takeo Spikes.

This Sunday at 8:15, the Birds play the Giants who are also at 1w-2L to see which team can overcome the basement standing first.
Just remember that it's a very long season and anything can happen.

McNabb has been fairly accurate hitting on 64 of 105 passes for 805 yards and 5 tds.
Westbrook has run for 291 yards on 51 carries for a 5.7 yd. avg. and 5 td's.
Kevin Curtis has been doing well with 17 receptions for 3 tds.

The Giants stats are very similar with Eli Manning hitting on 65 of 106 for 755 yds and 6 tds. While D. Ward has replaced Brandon Jacobs very well by running for 273 yards on 54 carries for a 5.1 yd. avg but has no TD's.
Brandon Jacobs is soon to return from injury but will now share time with Ward, probably getting more use on 3rd downs near the goal line especially.
Those commentators who continually yell that Tiki Barber is the reason for the standings just don't know what they're talking about as Jacobs and Ward combine to make a dynamic backfield. There are other reasons that the Giants haven't scored. Mainly, this year both these teams have had more difficult schedules.

Eagles play the Giants in New Jersey.
(Perhaps they should change their name to the New Jersey Giants?)
